Mind Body Music is a specialized treatment blending conventional and integrative approaches to promote health and well being for the aging and their caregivers. Mind Body Music uses a holistic approach tailored to fit the unique needs and strengths of each individual. Participants without a music background can benefit from Mind Body Music. Mind Body Music with Alzheimer's Dementia (and other dementias) Mind Body Music uses a interactive and compassionate approach to help improve the quality of life for the aging. Music and mind-body techniques are used to enhance communication and connection, change problem behaviors, facilitate relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve mood. We use music to meet the client where he/she is right now, in the moment. Music surpasses time and music allows us to enter into the world of the client, rather than requiring him/her to come back into our world. Mind Body Music with Caregivers Mind Body Music also works with family members and professional caregivers to help reduce symptoms commonly related to caretaking, such as depression, anxiety, stress, guilt and isolation. As a caretaker, Mind Body Music can help you develop stress reduction skills specific to your caregiving duties, provide support and compassion to keep you emotionally healthy, guide you in living more mindfully, provide a personal outlet for stress and anxiety, and give you time for yourself - alone.
