| "When words leave off, music begins."- Heinrich Heine Kimberly Atwood is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Board Certified Music Therapist, and Certified Group Psychotherapist. She uses a holistic, interactive therapeutic approach. She provides support and compassion to help you and your loved ones make important lifestyle changes and improve quality of life for the aging. Kimberly received her training and graduate degree from New York University. Currently, Kimberly has private practice offices in both Manhattan and Lower Westchester County. Kimberly developed Mind Body Music, an integrative treatment approach to engage men and women with Alzheimer's dementia and other dementias/neurological disorders. She also helps reduce stress and anxiety levels, improve quality of life, alleviate chronic pain, awaken creativity, promote overall health and wellness for those suffering with dementia, as well as their caregivers. Kimberly has trained at The William Alanson White Institute, Mount Sinai Medical Center, The Creative Therapies Institute, and Performance Wellness, Inc. She is currently affiliated with the Music Therapy Association, Westchester Group Psychotherapy Society, Psychology Today, American Group Psychotherapy Association, and Certification Board of Music Therapists.
